Lake Pier is what’s left of a former Sea Plane dock and is believed to have been one of the main launch points for Poole Harbours contribution to D-Day , if your joining us for any of our Kayak Tasters or Canoeing Adventures, this is where we will be!
The postcode you’ll need to find the carpark is BH15 4LR. Follow the single track down and round towards the water. On entering the carpark you’ll pass the wooden Poole Harbour Canoe Club building, the carpark is pay and display, if you cannot spot your instructor, please give them a call and they will guide you to them. (we will send you your instructors contact number before your session). You will need to bring:
For any Kayak Trips:
- Swimwear or clothes to wear on the water
- Trainers you don't mind getting wet. (Please no crocs, flipflops or wetshoes as these are not appropriate and will fall off!!)
- Please remember to bring change for the car park
For any Paddleboarding:
- Swimwear or clothes to wear on the water. (We will not always supply Wetsuits unless requested in advance)
- Trainers you don't mind getting wet. (Please no crocs, flipflops or wetshoes as these are not appropriate and will fall off!!)
- Please remember to bring change for the car park
For Canoeing Adventure:
- on top of the above, you will also need to bring your picnic lunch.
Please note, this is a adventure activity, their are no changing or toilet facilities on site. During the summer the carpark and surrounding roads become busy, please aim to arrive with plenty of time.
We also recommend you bring the following:
- Spare layers or waterproof to take on the water
- Bottle of water
- Suncream
- Towel
- Warm clothing for after the session
